I made it through two months of chemo treatments before getting sick. I had to call the triage nurse for my Oncologist, Dr. Riley, a little bit ago because I am not feeling well. Shelley reassured me that I seem to have caught it early and that is good. If you read the info sheet about things to watch for it will scare the daylights out of you! It talks about how a cold can be life threatening! So it was nice to hear Shelley tell me I am not going to die! haha She also said that I have done really good by going this long without catching something before now.
Anyway, it appears that I have developed a sinus infection and have all of the lovely symptoms that go along with it. Don’t worry..I won’t go in to detail! Dr. Riley is planning to call in a prescription for an antibiotic for me to the pharmacy. Shelley said that I didn’t have to come up to be seen and they prefer for me not to go and sit in the waiting room at my family doctors office where I would be exposed to even more illness unless absolutely necessary.
I called Nick at work to let him know. I was afraid he would panic because he has been so afraid of me catching something and getting sick. He took the news better than I expected!
